What the price is set against
Certly is priced by the number of suppliers whose certificates you track and the number of sites the agreement covers. There is one product, not a feature ladder: the plans differ in how many suppliers you can hold and how many plants sit under the subscription.
Every plan includes the same working parts:
- The supplier database, with the certificate types each supplier owes you, such as allergen declaration, CoA and audit certificate
- Expiry tracking with alerts at 90, 60 and 30 days before a certificate lapses, on thresholds you configure
- Automated chase emails to the supplier contact, carrying a single-use, expiring upload link so the supplier never needs an account
- The audit-ready dashboard and its PDF export, showing every certificate as current, expiring soon, expired or missing
So the sizing question is not which features you need. It is how long your approved supplier list is, and whether one plant or several are reading the same dashboard.
Choosing a plan
Count your approved supplier list first, including the seasonal and secondary suppliers that only appear twice a year, then read down.
Starter, $3,228 a year
For a single plant tracking up to 50 suppliers. Billed annually, which works out at 269 dollars a month, 10 percent off the 299 dollar monthly rate for paying up front. Limits are 50 suppliers and one site. It starts with a 14-day free trial.
Professional, $5,388 a year
For a single plant with a deeper supplier base, up to 200 suppliers. Billed annually, which works out at 449 dollars a month, 10 percent off the 499 dollar monthly rate for paying up front. Everything in Starter, with the supplier ceiling raised to 200, on one site. It also starts with a 14-day free trial. If your list runs past 50 once the secondary suppliers are counted, start here rather than moving plan in your first quarter.
Multi-site, $10,788 a year
For groups and consultants covering up to 30 sites under one agreement. Billed annually, which works out at 899 dollars a month, 10 percent off the 999 dollar monthly rate for paying up front. Everything in Professional, with no cap on suppliers, up to 30 sites on a single agreement, and sites you add and switch between from one sign-in. Starter and Professional each cover one site, so a second plant, not a supplier count, is what moves you here.
How billing works
All three plans are billed annually, at $3,228, $5,388 and $10,788 a year. The monthly figures above are the annual price divided out, and the 10 percent is the discount for paying the year up front against the monthly rate.
Starter and Professional each carry a 14-day free trial, and no card is taken at the start of it: fourteen days of the product, then the first payment. Multi-site does not name a trial.
Payments run through Stripe, which also takes the card and manages the subscription. Only your subscription status is mirrored back into Certly, so card numbers never reach its own servers.
The supplier and site figures are caps rather than guidelines. Fifty suppliers on Starter and 200 on Professional both apply to a single site, so a plant past 50 belongs on Professional, and a second plant belongs on Multi-site whatever the supplier count. Multi-site has no supplier cap at all, and its ceiling is 30 sites.
Signing in is by email and password. Records are kept while the account is open, expired certificates and superseded versions included, because that trail is what an auditor asks for; deleting the account from the site details screen removes suppliers, documents, chase history and sign-in details at once.
What Certly does and does not cover
QA managers do not need the arithmetic explained. A lapsed allergen declaration found by an auditor is a non-conformance to close out on the auditor's timetable, with evidence, while the rest of the week carries on. The hours before that go into chasing suppliers by email for documents they have already issued once.
Certly's job is narrower than the price might suggest, and it is worth being exact about it. Certly tracks certificate expiry and reminds you and your suppliers before it happens. It does not verify that a certificate is authentic and it does not guarantee regulatory compliance; that judgement stays with your team, and the line saying so sits on the dashboard and on every PDF export.
Questions
How much does Certly cost?
Starter is $3,228 a year for one plant and up to 50 suppliers. Professional is $5,388 a year for one plant and up to 200 suppliers. Multi-site is $10,788 a year for up to 30 sites with no supplier cap. All three are billed annually.
Is the price monthly or annual?
Annual. The plans are billed annually and the monthly equivalents are 269, 449 and 899 dollars a month, which is 10 percent off the 299, 499 and 999 dollar monthly rates for paying up front.
Is there a free trial, and does it need a card?
Starter and Professional each carry a 14-day free trial, and no card is taken at the start of it. Multi-site does not name a trial. While Certly is in build, joining the waitlist is how you get in line for early access.
Can I pay monthly instead?
No. All three plans are billed annually; the monthly figures are the annual price divided out, and the 10 percent is what paying up front saves against the monthly rate.
What happens when I pass 50 suppliers on Starter?
Fifty suppliers is the cap on Starter, so a plant tracking more than that belongs on Professional, which holds up to 200 suppliers on a single site.
I run two plants. Which plan do I need?
Multi-site. Starter and Professional each cover one site, while Multi-site covers up to 30 sites under one agreement and lets you add and switch between them from one sign-in.
What if a single plant tracks more than 200 suppliers?
Professional's 200-supplier cap is the published ceiling for a single site, and Multi-site is the plan with no supplier cap. If your one plant is above 200 suppliers, say so when you join the waitlist so the right fit can be worked out directly.
How are payments taken?
Through Stripe, which takes the card payment and manages the subscription; only the subscription status is mirrored back into Certly, so card numbers never reach its servers. Billing is part of the build, so there is nothing to pay yet.
